Ford Figo India has launched an automatic variant of the Figo hatchback. The new automatic variant will start at a price of Rs 7.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new automatic variant gets a new gearbox. The new Figo competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Baleno, Tata Tiago, Altroz, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
The new Ford Figo automatic will be available with Titanium and Titanium Plus options. The top Titanium Plus variant will be selling at a price of Rs 8.20 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the company, the ARAI mileage provided by the car is 16 kmpl.
For the new Automatic variant, Ford India has opted for a six-speed torque converter unit which is also featured in the sub-4m compact SUV EcoSport. The car continues to get a 1.2-litre engine that produces 96PS (71.2kW) of power and 119Nm of peak torque.
The car also gets a ‘Sports SelectShift’ mode on the car which allows the driver to take control of the gearbox manually with the help of a small toggle on the gear lever. However, in terms of safety, the car is relatively loaded. It gets up to six airbags ABS with EBD and even traction control and hill-assist.
While most of the new AT version maintains the same cosmetics as the standard 2021 model, the new Ford Figo variant will come with a new set of dual-tone alloys that give it a more sporty look.
The feature list on the hatchback remains the same with equipment such as a 7-inch infotainment screen (without Android Auto or Apple CarPlay), keyless entry, automatic climate control and rain-sensing wipers.
